Social Media Intern

Appleyard Agency is looking to hire a Social Media Intern with strong knowledge, understanding, and experience with social media and content development for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The primary focus for this role will be on content development.

The person hired for this position will need strong creative skills, the ability to go on-site to client locations to gather content, and create vibrant eye-catching content that will perform on social media.

This is a paid internship that can be done partially remote, with travel required between Pensacola, Milton, and Gulf Breeze.


·       Design graphics using programs such as Canva or Adobe Creative Express

·       Create Tik Toks based on current trends and client promotional needs

·       Create copy and schedule content for clients in our social media management platform

·       Pull analytical reports on content to decipher what performs and what doesn’t

·       Report both corporate changes and platform trends for social media platforms

·       Assist with any additional online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and social media influencers


·       Marketing or Business major

·       2 years of experience with Internet and social media platforms

·       Solid understanding of youth markets

·       Energetic and creative

·       Hard-working and team-oriented

·       Willingness to learn and accept feedback

Time Commitment

·      2 days a week, 7.5 hours a day

Video Content Intern

Appleyard Agency is the oldest and largest advertising firm in Pensacola representing some of the most respected brands in the region. In a constantly changing media landscape, our clients depend on us to deliver high-impact, memorable campaigns that appear relevant and on-trend to a wide range of audiences.

In recent years, video content has risen to the forefront of our creative production and we have dedicated a studio to in-house content production named, “The APP”. We invite you to join our team of creative content producers and show off your vision and skills in a fast-paced, real-world advertising environment.

You will be working across production roles, from concept development to cinematography, editing, and motion graphics depending on your individual skills and interests. In addition to projects for real clients, you will be given to opportunity and resources to develop simulated campaigns to keep your portfolio drippy.


·      Use knowledge of contemporary video content styles to develop a portfolio of innovative branded content for various agency clients.

·      Spend time developing new production, editing, and motion graphic techniques and apply them to real-world projects for Agency clients.

·      Maintain best practices for data management in a collaborative post-production environment, including file management on Agency media servers and cloud storage accounts.


·      Understanding of contemporary video content styles for social media and web video.

·      Portfolio demonstrating strong personal voice in a visual medium.

·      Basic skills in video editing and visual storytelling techniques.

·      Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or similar NLE.

·      Good time-management skills and ability to work without direct supervision.

Time Commitment

·      15 hours a week
